Inspired memories lead to the warm display of childhood...

I am inspired by an amazing woman....she is an amazing creative spirit, revealing the beautiful creativity of our Awesome God! After coming home from her house as we celebrated Thanksgiving, I had the urge, the urge to start decorating for Christmas.

I am reminded of God's warm embrace as He sent His Son, Jesus. The other reminders of childhood from the candy cane's, to the hot chocolate and yummy marshmallows...they remind me of when I was a little girl being warmed by the fire and my mom's sweet smothering love over her girls.

The memories led to the simple display...

July 28, 2010, Sign #98 Wisdom of God

This sign, Wisdom of God made for a dear friend and regular customer.

The colors and words were chosen based on scripture she read a couple of days ago. The scripture is from Proverbs 3:13-26.

The colors chosen were, Gold (God's Diety), Purple (Royalty), Blue (Heavens declaring the glory of God). So when the Wisdom of God is revealed through us, just as the heavens declare His glory; so shall our lives declare the Glory of Holy God!

This is one of my favorite pieces. It's original and also has a vintage 'feel'. I received an order for a bridal shower gift. The 'cake plate' is a 'one of a kind', unique piece. Most likely, the bride will not forget from whom she received the gift from and it's a great conversation piece.

Please note: Most of the pieces you see on my blog are one of a kind. I do not duplicate my pieces most of the time, however, I am able to put together similar pieces.

The gift that she had me make was for her mother in law.

Hostess Party for 'TVD'

The pictures below are from a great party with Triumphant Victorious Decor.

We had about 20 women come in and out throughout the day. The party was hosted by Jennifer, a dear friend of mind who served all of us lunch and snacks. It was more of a 'grazing' get together...which was so fun and delicious.

The benefit of hosting a TVD party is you receive a free cake plate and a sign or canvas of your choice. The other great benefit is that ten percent of the party's proceeds are donated to the ministry the hostess chooses. The recipient of the proceeds from Jennifer's party was, Young Life Ministry.

I must thank Jennifer again for a fabulous, fantastic and her unforgettable hospitality.
