July 28, 2010, Sign #98 Wisdom of God

This sign, Wisdom of God made for a dear friend and regular customer.

The colors and words were chosen based on scripture she read a couple of days ago. The scripture is from Proverbs 3:13-26.

The colors chosen were, Gold (God's Diety), Purple (Royalty), Blue (Heavens declaring the glory of God). So when the Wisdom of God is revealed through us, just as the heavens declare His glory; so shall our lives declare the Glory of Holy God!

This is one of my favorite pieces. It's original and also has a vintage 'feel'. I received an order for a bridal shower gift. The 'cake plate' is a 'one of a kind', unique piece. Most likely, the bride will not forget from whom she received the gift from and it's a great conversation piece.

Please note: Most of the pieces you see on my blog are one of a kind. I do not duplicate my pieces most of the time, however, I am able to put together similar pieces.

Here is a gift that I was able to make for a sweet customer.

The gift that she had me make was for her mother in law.

She ordered a tall cake plate and a sign that read, "Daddy Jack & Nana".
